The glutinous rice dumplings (汤圆) at Yong Fu are a benchmark of Ningbo culinary memory and a signature product of the restaurant. Made with water‑milled glutinous rice flour for the wrapper, the filling consists of black sesame hand‑pounded in a mortar and mixed with local lard from native‑breed pigs. The wrapper accounts for only about 30% of the total weight. The result is rich in aroma and exceptionally smooth in texture.
